We love pets as much as anyone, but unfortunately the bubbles and the working farm property are simply not made for our furry friends. There are strictly no pets allowed.

Bubble Retreats is strictly an adults only accomodation experience and we can only accomodate a maximum of 2 people per booking. You must be at least eighteen (18) to make a booking with us.

The bubbles both have 6KW reverse cycle floor heating units installed to best keep the bubbles warm & cosy during the cooler winter months. We also provide super warm bedding & linens as well as hot water bottles for those extra chilly nights! Having said that, the weather & temperature can vary a lot up on the hill and so we recommend no matter the time of the year you are coming to visit that you pack accordingly. Some extra layers are always a good idea just in case.

Both bubbles both have 6KW reverse cycle air conditioner units installed to keep the bubbles as cool as possible during summer. However, the unique and transparent bubble can still get very warm during the day when the sun is beaming down. We recommend guests don't spend more time than necessary inside the bubble between 11am & 3pm on clear warm days if it is not comfortable. The good news is that once the sun starts to set the bubble quickly returns to a temperature that can be regulated to your preferred comfort regardless of daytime temperature. We have also have our brand new relaxation shelters next to each bubble to sit undercover & enjoy the views along with a beautiful shady picnic area just 5 minutes down the hill with a magnificent waterfall which is a great place to relax & unwind on hot summer days.

Yep! Bubbles come with a full ensuite. That means hot showers, flushing toilets, mirror and wash basin. Please keep in mind we are on a farm and we use tank water so please keeping your showers short is much appreciated.

No worries! Our bubbles are on a private property and are safe. However, keep in mind you're responsible for your own safety at all times and the bubbles are located on a working farm where seeing a snake, spider and other local wildlife is totally possible. It's more like a wilderness adventure than a hotel. Act responsibly and follow our tips (which we will send upon your booking confirmation) and you'll have a great time!

Both the bubbles are identical inside and out. They are located on the same property about 300m apart (but private) and both face south with a very similar view looking out over the mountains and ocean below across to Wilsons Prom National Park. The Etoile bubble is located a little bit lower on the mountain but is a little more perched out. Asteria is higher on the hill and a little more tucked into the hill so it is a bit more protected from the elements. There really isn't much difference at all. Can’t go wrong with either option!

Yes, there is reception at the bubbles, some providers better than others. There is no wifi. This is a nature retreat after all and we think its best to put your devices away and enjoy the show that is mother nature.

The bubbles are inflated by continuous air turbine which creates an incredibly relaxing & unique sensation when you step inside. However, for your own safety and to keep the bubbles inflated, please keep both of the doors closed at all times & never open the two entry tunnel doors at the same time as this will cause the bubble to deflate.

Perched atop a hill to showcase breathtaking views, our bubbles are immersed in an ever-changing landscape, bringing a variety of weather conditions. Rest assured, they are designed to withstand all elements, from rain and hail to scorching summer days, chilly winter nights, and strong winds. In rare cases, Bubble Retreats may cancel bookings due to extreme high wind forecasts, offering a full refund or rescheduling option. This is not primarily for safety concerns but to ensure our guests have the best possible experience during their stay.

Our bubbles include a mini fridge, microwave, toaster & a weber barbecue outside located in a super cosy shelter. We also have coffee making facilities and basic utensils & cutlery to DIY your meals at the bubbles. We recommend pre-preparing meals or stocking up at one of the many local cafes on your way up! Upon booking, you'll receive our Welcome Guide, packed with top cafe and restaurant recommendations, plus recipe ideas perfectly suited for your bubble stay!

We’ve partnered with a landowner to create our bubble retreat, so we won’t be on-site. Both bubbles are self-check-in and check-out, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the undisturbed beauty of nature. Many guests love the privacy and freedom this offers. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a comprehensive Welcome Guide with everything you need to know. Plus, we’re always just a message away—before, during, or after your stay—should you have any questions or concerns.

We understand - life happens, and plans change. Our bubbles are highly sought after and often booked months in advance, so we strive to keep our cancellation policy fair for everyone. Cancellations made 30 days or more before check-in receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14 days before check-in receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding and recommend planning ahead to make the most of your stay!

We are happy to reschedule your stay up to 30 days prior to check-in but a 10% rescheduling fee will apply. Please note, we are unable to reschedule your stay if given less than 14 days notice before your scheduled check-in.

We have a strict no smoking policy in or around the bubbles.

The property has breathtaking views in every direction. The 2 bubbles are located facing south looking out over the ocean below to Wilsons Promontory National park. It is a private property with our land host's house on top of the hill. The property is also a working farm so sometimes you might see a farmer moving cattle into the adjacent paddocks. The bubbles are located approximately 300m apart and are positioned to ensure guests privacy in the bubbles.

The roads and driveway to the bubbles are both 2WD and 4WD accessible meaning any car is fine to bring to the Bubble site. Having said that the last section of the road is gravel and so in winter / after some heavy rain it can get pretty bumpy and sloshy so if you do have the option to bring a 4WD instead of a 2WD then we recommend this option.
